Nob Hill Residence

Dumican Mosey approached this full-scale renovation with a combination of material attention and architectural intervention. Maximizing the site’s extraordinary views, we added a fourth floor—kitchen, living, dining—to the existing townhouse. In keeping with the existing house’s historic bones, we introduced a sculptural, curved staircase on the ground floor that figuratively and spatially links old with new, and established dark walnut details, sophisticated marble bathrooms, and warm Venetian plaster throughout. The house is now stately yet inviting; modern yet timeless.
