Belvedere Street Residence

Asked to double the size of this historic Victorian-era house, Dumican Mosey undertook a significant three-story rear-yard addition and expansion while also completely reimagining the existing interior. On the front facade, a series of classic articulations—bay windows, a peaked roof, horizontal siding—lead to an open, airy, minimal interior. An angled sculptural stair connects all three levels, drawing organization and coherence to this complex mix of old and new, textured and minimalist, Victorian and contemporary.
