The goal of this complete renovation project was to breathe new life into a stately, but time-worn Fillmore Street Victorian. Built in 1904, the interiors had been altered over time to create a tangle of small dark rooms and confused styling that belied its potential charm. Through an opening-up of interior walls, addition of expansive rear-yard windows and garden, and cutting-in a dramatic 10-foot by 20-foot custom skylight, the creation of a light-filled, expressive home was achieved.
