Through a series of architectural interventions, the transformation of this four-story structure at the end of a Russian Hill alley has allowed it to finally capitalize on its dramatic setting. Opening walls, windows, and rooms, the space flows from within to dramatic views of Coit Tower, the Transamerica Building, and the Bay. The Third Floor flat shown here creates a taught minimalist container from a heightened dialogue between the art and furnishings in the space and the framed views beyond.
